Babanango Game Reserve is excited to introduce their latest experience, their newly launched ' Walking Safaris'.
These extraordinary safaris immerse you completely in the African bush, surrounded by a tapestry of sights, sounds, and smells. Each crackle of footstep, the flow of water, and the excitement of animal calls come to life, creating an experience where you truly feel it all.
While a game drive safari is undoubtedly a bucket-list adventure, nothing quite compares to a walking safari. This guided walk and overnight camping experience places you right in the heart of the African wilderness.
At Babanango Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, your guide will lead you through the hills, grasslands, and valleys of the White Umfolozi River. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to encounter not only the famed Big Five but also discover hidden gems best experienced on foot.
Camp under the stars
After a day of exploration, your adventure continues with an overnight stay in one of our canvas tents at the base camp. Nestled in a secluded area of the reserve, these tents provide a rustic yet comfortable retreat, equipped with essential facilities, sleeping bags, and lantern lighting. The estate cellar was alive with laughter & music as those that came together reflected and celebrated this magnificent journey of one of the original and oldest Western Cape wine estates. Against the spectacular backdrop of the wine cellar itself, a dramatic and opulent table was set…
A song was written & composed especially by Lizanne and The Stellenborsch City Orchestra and peformed on the night. Toasts were made as we can see here in a few images of the team’s special evening.

We are delighted to welcome the effortlessly stylish Sala Beach House (which opens this month) to our Travel Promoters portfolio.
Sala (meaning “stay” in Zulu) is an intimate, privately owned & run boutique hotel nestled between Ballito and Shaka’s Rock and offers breathtaking, uninterrupted ocean views on KwaZulu-Natal’s Dolphin Coast, with private beach access to the protected tidal pool and gorgeous, sandy sheltered swimming beach at Thompson’s Bay.

During our stay, nothing was too much trouble, smiles surrounded us and the food was outstanding. Personalised water bottles awaiting us in our suite, underpins their sustainability ethos. It became apparent very quickly that the team at Madikwe Safari Lodge have each been selected for their knowledge, dedication to hospitality and attention to detail. There was nothing we could fault….
Varied, luxury accommodation, across 3 lodges each having a different appeal, be it couples, single travellers, families, small celebrations to larger gatherings. All of the 20 collective suites boast private plunge pools and overlook plains filled with game, often frequenting the lodges two watering holes.
Dithaba Lodge (4 suites) have completed a soft furnishing upgrade and main lodge restructure. A new main swimming pool with expansive decks & breathtaking views, has been added.

Kay & Monty Vineyard: A garden route gem
Plettenberg may not be the first place you think of when looking to visit a vineyard in South Africa, but the ‘Plett’ wine route is most certainly up and coming. It is a great developing story of small town relationships coming together, resulting in unique venues, wines and restaurants for seasonal visitors and residents alike.
