Ponta Mamoli / Johannesburg, September 2024. White Pearl Resorts, “the Pearl of the Indian Ocean”, a premier destination for relaxation and beach chic luxury, is excited to announce significant progress on the renovation of its decking. This includes the walking deck linking the suites to the public areas and the decking at individual suites. The decking facelift has been a key part of White Pearl Resorts’ ongoing property enhancements.
Over the past few months, White Pearl Resorts’ dedicated team has been working tirelessly to rejuvenate the walking deck, ensuring it meets the highest standards for safety, comfort and aesthetics. This upgrade is being done in sections to avoid inconveniencing in-house guests. To date, the resort has relayed over 55 metres of the walking deck. While working on these renovations, White Pearl Resorts considered:
1. Enhanced Accessibility using Eco-Friendly Materials: The previous pine decking which was starting to show wear due to the weather elements has been lifted and replaced with hard wearing simbiri wood. Guests can now enjoy the serene walkways without any hindrance. White Pearl staying true to its commitment to sustainability, utilised eco-friendly materials that blend seamlessly with the Resort’s natural surroundings, minimising its environmental impact.
2. Local labour: The Resort renovations have brought much needed employment opportunities for the local community.
3. Scenic Overlooks: The walkways from the main reception area to the private suites offer scenic sights where guests can pause to take in stunning views of the landscape, enhancing their connection with nature and providing perfect spots for relaxation and reflection.
4. Improved Lighting: Upgraded lighting along the pathways will create a warm, inviting atmosphere during morning and evening strolls, ensuring safety and enhancing the overall ambiance. All lighting around the Resort is solar powered.
5. Flora and Fauna Integration: The raised walking deck pathways, thoughtfully meander through the natural environment, seamlessly blending in with native flora, attracting local wildlife and adding to the resort's natural charm.
“We are thrilled with the resort’s improvements including the decking facelift and we cannot wait for our guests to experience the enhanced features,” said Florival Mucave, Executive Chairman at White Pearl Resorts. “This project is part of our broader commitment to continually improving our facilities and providing a harmoniously exuberant, beach-chic luxurious environment for our guests.”
The decking facelift is just one component of the exciting upgrades happening at White Pearl Resorts. The Resort remains dedicated to ensuring the destination remains a top choice for discerning travellers seeking a blend of relaxation and beach-chic luxury.
The renovations are on track for completion by August 2025, and White Pearl looks forward to unveiling the new and improved structures to their valued guests.
