It's been just over a month since Shearzone Safaris officially opened the doors of Nzovu Rundu Luxury Camp, and we couldn't be prouder of what the team has achieved.
Nzovu Rundu is Shearzone's second property in Zambia, following Mozhi Bush Camp in Kafue National Park, and it's a fitting next step for a company that continues to expand thoughtfully across some of Zambia's finest wilderness areas.
Set on the Nkalange Channel in the Lower Zambezi, Nzovu Rundu overlooks one of Zambia's most rewarding safari landscapes, known for its walking safaris, canoe trails and dense elephant populations along the river.
Since opening on 17 July 2026, the camp has settled beautifully into its surroundings, offering guests ten chalets: eight Luxury Pods for couples and solo travellers, and two Rundu Grand Pods designed for families and groups. Each comes with a private plunge pool, air-conditioning and an outdoor shower, giving guests a comfortable base between game drives, walks and canoe outings.
Nzovu Rundu also marks the start of a bigger story. Shearzone's expansion plans extend well beyond the Lower Zambezi and Kafue, with new camps planned in North and South Luangwa as the company continues to build out its presence across Zambia's premier safari regions. It's an exciting portfolio to watch, and one we're delighted to be part of.
Shearzone also operates its own Cessna charter fleet across Zambia, making it simple for agents to combine Nzovu Rundu with Mozhi Bush Camp or other Zambian circuits on a single, effortless itinerary.
A month in, Nzovu Rundu is already proving itself a wonderful addition to the Lower Zambezi, and we look forward to sharing more as Shearzone's journey continues.
