Celebrating International Cheetah Day

The Importance of International Cheetah Day

Every year on December 4th, animal lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists, from around the world celebrate International Cheetah Day.

This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the challenges facing of one of the world's most iconic and endangered big cats, the cheetah.

This graceful and magnificent animal is the fastest land animal, being able to reach speeds of up to 70 mph. Even with their speed and agility, cheetahs are shy and most definitely a rare and valued sighting on any safari.

Celebrating Cheetahs

To celebrate Cheetah Day we have highlighted a few our favourite images, that were taken from game drives at some of the incredible reserves within our portfolio.

Each reserve is instrumental in wildlife conservation and we invite you read more about each one by following the links below.

Raising awareness about cheetahs and the challenges they face is the main objective of International Cheetah Day. Through tourism conservation initiatives as well as educational campaigns and media outreach, this day grows yearly in the aim to inform the public about the struggles cheetahs face as well as the solutions that are being implemented to help.
